数々の名曲を生み出してきたアーティストの織田哲郎さん。
長きに渡り音楽業界を支えるそんな匠に、意外な一面がある。それは、生粋の「猫好き」であることだ。
織田さんは今、家で5匹の猫を飼っている。
「いろんな猫がいて、叱られたときに一度で懲りる猫もいれば、物分かりのよくない猫もいる。
今いる元野良猫はすごく賢くて強いですね。あと、メスの方がとても気が強い気がします、経験上（笑）」
極度の猫嫌いだった祖母の影響で、織田さんの母親が猫を飼わなかったため、子ども時代に猫と暮らした経験はない。
しかし21歳のとき、ある猫との運命的な出会いを果たし、一目惚れをしたという。
「たまたま通りかかった札幌のペットショップでのこと。ショーウィンドウの中にいる猫から目を離せなくなったんです。東京まで連れて帰りましたね」
今まで17匹ほどの猫を飼ってきたという織田さん。中でも印象的だったのは「食いしん坊猫」だ。
「とにかく人懐っこい猫で、そこに人間がいればすぐに膝の上に乗る。それにすごく食い意地がすごくて、辺りにある袋に入ったお菓子を食べるために、すぐ袋をガジガジして開けちゃうんです」
織田さんが猫に惹かれるのはなぜか。その理由は、猫特有の「のびやかさ」にある。
「猫はとても自由なんです。生きたいように生きて、行きたいところに行く。個人主義です」
興味深いのが、犬ではなくあえて「猫」を選んでいるところ。最近は犬も可愛いと思うが、まだ飼ったことはないそうだ。
「猫は平和でいじめが全くない。犬は上下関係があるイメージがありますが、猫にはそれがないので見ていてホッとするんです」
猫は、表舞台で輝く織田さんを影で優しく支える存在なのだ。
これまで多くのヒット作を生み出してきた織田さん。創作する中で猫からインスピレーションを得たことはあるのか？
本人に聞いてみたが、はっきり「ありません」と答える。
「オンオフで言うならば、音楽はオン、猫はオフ。集中して音楽に没頭し、脳を休ませてくれるのが猫です。彼らを触るとほんわかした気持ちになるんです」

ジャニー喜多川前社長による性加害問題をめぐっては、先月、調査を行ってきた「再発防止特別チーム」が調査報告書をまとめ、ジャニーズ事務所に提出していました。

これを受け、ジャニーズ事務所はきょう7日午後2時から都内で記者会見を開きますが、関係者によりますと、この場に藤島ジュリー景子社長が新しく社長になる所属タレントの東山紀之さんや井ノ原快彦さんらとともに出席する予定だということです。

会見では、事務所として正式にジャニー喜多川前社長による性加害を認めて謝罪し、社長の交代などが発表されるほか、ジュリー社長が社長を退いた後も、代表取締役として被害者救済に取り組むことなどが報告される見通しだということです。

YouTube「BUCK-TICK公式チャンネル」で毎週水曜午後8時から生配信を予定していた。


「BUCK-TICK」はボーカル、櫻井敦司（さくらい・あつし）さんが、19日午後11時9分に脳幹出血のため、57歳で死去。

19日夜、横浜市内でのライブ中に体調不良を訴え、救急搬送された病院で息を引き取った。

櫻井さんは19日のファンクラブ限定だった横浜公演中に体調不良を訴え、公演は3曲目を歌い切ったところで中止に。


1曲目で調子の悪い様子を見せ、2曲目が始まるとステージ上の階段でふらつき転倒。

体勢を立て直して3曲目「絶界」まで歌い切ったが、その後スタッフを呼んで2、3分話し込み、肩を借りるなどして歩きながらステージ袖に消えた。


客席からは「あっちゃーん」「櫻井さん」などと声援が飛んだ。


しばらくして場内には「本日はここで中断します」とアナウンスが流れた。　


会場には救急車が到着。


所属レコード会社は「意識はあるが、大事を取って搬送しました」と状況を説明していた。
